The American Collegiate Institute (ACI) offers a 1 + 4 year academic program. Students enter the school based upon a competitive national high-school entrance exam. Those students needing to improve their English language skills go into the intensive English one-year preparatory program before entering the school’s rigorous four-year educational program. ACI is extremely proud of the university acceptance rate of its graduates; we annually have over 98% accepted to the top universities in Turkey and abroad. In addition to ACIs stimulating and creative academic environment, the school is authorized to offer the International Baccalaurate Diploma Programme. Since our founding in 1878 as a day-school, ACI has met both the high Turkish national education standards as well as international education standards. ACI was accredited by ECIS (European Council of International Schools) in 1994 and fully re-accredited by CIS (Council of International Schools) in 2003. ACI is proud to be the only school in Izmir accredited by ECIS and CIS.
