The GAP Action Plan has been announced by the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The GAP Action Plan, designed and set forth in the context of the GAP Project, aiming at mainly irrigation and covering basic infrastructure needs and accelerating economic development and social progress in the Region, has been announced in Diyarbakir Province on 27 May, 2008 by the Premier Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in course of a propagation ceremony. The ceremony has been attended by some Cabinet members, Parliamentarians of the Region, Governors, senior officials, businessmen, representatives of NGO?s and Chambers of Professionals.
