The shareholders agreement and share pledge agreement were signed. As per the Ojer Telekomünikasyon A.S. (a consortium led by Saudi Oger and Telecom Italia) has made the initial payment of 1.31 billion USD, of the total bid price worth 6.55 billion USD, the closing ceremony of the Türk Telekom block sale took place on November 14, 2005. The closing ceremony was held at the Halkbank Headquarters with the participation of His Excellency Finance Minister, His Excellency Minister of Transportation, Head of Privatization Administration, Chairman of Türk Telekom Board, General Manager of Türk Telekom, Vice President of Saudi Oger, CEO of Ojer Telekomünikasyon A.S., various senior bureaucrats and representatives of private sector and press and media.
