Towards the middle of eighties, Turkish economy faces new and different currents. The idea of using domestic products is changed with global trade. Customs procedures became easy and thus considerable increase in volumes are reached in both export and import trades. Transportation and logistics business became a shining star among other sectors and gain importance in global trade. Thus, Lütfi Aygüler, graduating from Industrial Engineering decides to use his engineering and organisational skills in transportation. Mr. Aygüler set-up Balnak International Transport and Commerce Limited and undersigned a partnership agreement with German Ballauf Company. Later Balnak Transport became one of the leading Logistic Service Provider Group and changed the name as Balnak Logistics Group. 1990 Balnak started the business with a team of 12 persons and can only provide roadfreight service from / to Germany. Later, in 1988 company started to provide Air & Sea Cargo services and obtained IATA license at the year of 1990. 1995 Balnak became 100% Turkish company by overtaking the shares of German partner. Every department became a profit & loss center. ?Balnak Transport & Commerce Limited? completed corporate reorganizational process and became a group of companies. The name has changed as ?Balnak Logistics Group? as of 1995 1999 Balnak Logistics Group, which is providing Land, Air, Sea and Rail Cargo business, as well as bounded and unbounded warehousing services, started to implement ?Total Quality Management? procedures at the year of 1999. Balnak achieved another success and declared as the 1st company at IATA ranking. 2001 Balnak awarded as? The Most Succesful Company in Transportation Sector? by Dünya Newspaper and became a well knownt service provider at Air & Sea Cargo business as well as land transportation. 2003 Balnak implemets ?Process Management Syatem? and proudly won the ?Quality Award?;presented by Kalder (Quality Association) and Tusiad (Turkish Industriallists? and businessmens Association) at 12th National Quality Congress. 2004 Balnak invested on railfreight and related to logistic services by undersigning a contract with Turkish Railroad Authorities and rented two different bounded warehouses at the main railfreight port at Istanbul. Balnak also supported landfreight operations by investing on company owned truck fleet. 2005 Balnak continued on investments on logistic business and set-up a new warehouse unit which is providing 20.000 sqm closed warehosing capacity, 2.500 sqm office, 15.000 sqm open stockable area at Çatalca / Istanbul 2007 Balnak continues the attack for investment and set-up another logistics base at Sarigazi with a capacity of 20.000 sqm closed warehouse and10.000 sqm open stockable area. At the same year, total domestic distribution capacity has increased to 500 cbm.
